According to The PRP, Mastodon are going to release a Super Deluxe Edition of their album Remission, through Relapse Records. This version of the album is entirely remixed, by producer Matt Bayles and remastered by Ed Brooks. It will include a new cover, that will contain a custom 3D embossing, with UV gloss and a varnish/foil stamping. It will also come with a 24+ page booklet that features previously unseen artwork, by Paul Romano. It will be available August 5, and can be purchased as a CD or as a 2xLP vinyl box set, with an etched d-side (limited to 2000 copies).
Mastodon will also be releasing their new album, Once More ‘Round The Sun, June 24. It can also be streamed on iTunes.
