The nominees were recently unveiled for the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards. However, it appears the “Best Rock” category has been dropped from the event. Despite this, Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit) was nominated in the “Best Alternative” category for “FIX UR FACE,” his collaborative track with Machine Gun Kelly. That song is competing against the following:
- Geese – “Taxes“
- Noah Kahan – “The Great Divide“
- Olivia Rodrigo – “the cure“
- SOMBR – “Homewrecker“
- Tame Impala – “Dracula“
- twenty one pilots – “Drag Path“
The ceremony will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, CA on September 27.
