The Warning’s Paulina “Pau” Villarreal Vélez Faints During Münster, Germany Concert, Rock Werchter Set Cancelled

During The Warning’s July 2 concert at Skaters Palace in Münster, Germany, drummer/vocalist Paulina “Pau” Villarreal Vélez ended up fainting onstage. The incident happened 11 songs in.

Pau wasn’t feeling well during the performance, but tried to continue. However, the illness caught up to her during a performance of “DISCIPLE.” After she fainted, there was a break before guitarist/vocalist Daniela “Dany” Villarreal Vélez and bassist/vocalist Alejandra “Ale” Villarreal Vélez returned to the stage to perform two acoustic songs.

Unfortunately, Pau has yet to fully recover. As such, the band’s July 3 set at Rock Werchter has been cancelled. The group commented:

“To our fans at Werchter Festival,

We were hopeful that Pau would be ready to perform today, but her illness was tougher than we expected and she needs more time to rest and recover before she can return to stage.

Unfortunately, we have to cancel today’s performance at Werchter Festival.

We’re so sorry to everyone who was planning to see us tonight. We were really looking forward to coming back to Belgium and play for you. Thank you for all the love, patience, and understanding you’ve shown us over the last days.

Veel liefs,
Dany, Pau and Ale“
