METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little bit about yourself for those that may be unfamiliar you:

KATERINA NICOLE: Hi Metal Anarchy! Thanks for featuring me, I’m excited to be in this community. I want to be introduced as a pop metalcore artist that has no limits! I’m here to explore the depths of myself and transform my experiences into art.

METAL ANARCHY: What would you like to tell readers of this site about your latest single “Ladybug”?

KATERINA NICOLE: “Ladybug” is for those still learning to carry the weight long after the goodbye. The goodbye of a version one’s self, a loved one, or a moment in time.

METAL ANARCHY: Is the song a standalone track or part of an upcoming album or EP?

KATERINA NICOLE: I’m excited to say that I have created many tracks that are a part of a bigger project. We’ll see by the end of the year how these released singles are being enjoyed and if we are begging for an album!

METAL ANARCHY: Would you consider the single to be a natural progression from the material on your 2025 EP “Serene In Violent Oceans”?

KATERINA NICOLE: I actually went back into the studio with a clean slate. I felt like I was in a great position to explore more, have fun, and bring a lot more energy! I was already flooded with concepts that needed to be interpreted. We spent 8 months creating this project and now I’m working on the visuals, marketing and PR for all of them. This is such an exciting year to keep going!

METAL ANARCHY: How have fans been responding to the single?

KATERINA NICOLE: I have had such beautiful interactions with people about this song. Whether it’s the experience of loss within themselves or the goodbye of a loved one. It’s something that we all go through, unfortunately. I already feel so much more of a connection with my fans because of “Ladybug.”

METAL ANARCHY: Are you planning any live shows for the near future?

KATERINA NICOLE: Yes! I’m finally a duel Canadian/EU citizen so I’m actively looking to put together a band that wants to expand on my art with me and play!!! I really need to lock down a booking agent and help me get established here in Greece and around the EU. There are quite a lot of heavy bands to pass through Athens.

METAL ANARCHY: Aside from music, you’re also an advocate for animal welfare and a supporter of stray animals on Naxos Island, Greece. What would you like to tell readers about your work in that area?

KATERINA NICOLE: I am a sucker for furry friends and of course I wrote this song about one of them that was dear to my heart, Rosie. She unfortunately passed away suddenly from unknown internal bleeding. It was a devastating experience to go through. The main reasons the stray cats don’t survive here in Greece is from either illness, or injuries. I do my absolute best to provide care for over 50+ cats. It all comes out of pocket and it’s a full time gig when I’m here. I have named them all and they’re all as equally important to me. One day I will start an NGO and hopefully have big sponsors to tackle the sterilization and feeding programs. Until then, if anyone reading this wants to pitch in, I’d be happy to provide photos and info on my friends in need.

METAL ANARCHY: Lastly, where do see your music taking you in five years?

KATERINA NICOLE: Big stages, big sound, and a whole lot of fun!!!
