“This song came out of everything that happened last year—personally and with the band. We took a step back to write and figured out what Roman Candle really means to us, and in that time I realized how much I just couldn’t let anything go. The lyrics — ‘It’s like walking a tightrope / The world beneath me and that feeling in my stomach’ — pretty much sums up that feeling of trying to hold it together while everything’s spinning ‘This Band Has Led Me to Places I Wouldn’t Go with a Gun‘ is about tension, pride, and refusing to quit even when it feels impossible. We poured everything into this one, and now that it’s out, we’re more excited than ever to get back on stage. Playing these new songs live feels like taking our power back.”
