Sun Dont Shine, the project featuring Kenny Hickey (Type O Negative), Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative), Kirk Windstein (Crowbar), and Todd Strange (ex-Crowbar), have premiered a new song titled “What You Are.” You can find a lyric video for that track below. The song is expected to appear on the band’s upcoming album. According to Strange, the single “is [their] modern interpretation of the music [they] grew up on.” Andrew Spaulding of Corpse Paint Records added:
“‘What You Are’ hits with that classic weight — dark, slow, and unrelenting — but there’s something fresh in the way it breathes. Todd brought in the main riff, and it set the tone for what became one of the band’s most fully realized songs. This one really captures the spirit of Sun Dont Shine: familiar shadows, but a new kind of darkness.”
