Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” Gets Pulled From U.S. Government’s Drone Video Due To Unauthorized Usage

Metallica’s classic track “Enter Sandman” recently appeared in a video that was used to promote the U.S. government’s drone program. However, the clip, which was shared by United States Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and the U.S. Department Of Defense, was removed due to the song being used without authorization. Pentagon Press Secretary Kingsley Wilson issued the following statement:

“This afternoon, representatives from X reached out to DoD regarding a video posted to our social media page and asked that the video be removed due to a copyright issue with the song ‘Enter Sandman’ by Metallica. The video has been taken down, corrected, and re-uploaded to our page.”
