Clutch have officially recruited Gene “Machine” Freeman to handle production duties on their new album. Notably, the band previously worked with Freeman on “Blast Tyrant,“ “Earth Rocker,” and “Psychic Warfare.“

Neil Fallon told That Fuzzing Rock Show the following:
“[We are] currently working on the next record… Actually, we’re gonna start our very first pre-production week this coming Monday with Machine.”
He went on to say that the band might “play a new song or two” during their upcoming shows:
“It’s always best to practice them in front of a live studio audience because that’s a much more demanding proving ground than the studio…
There’s something to be said about things that you could do in a studio that are fun and irreplicable live to some degree, but it’s easy to paint yourself into a corner. And then you can’t do that unless you’re bringing 80 other people on tour with you, and we don’t wanna do that. So, we’ll see. I’m excited to play some of these songs.”
