Aerosmith Members To Reunite At “Jam For Janie” Event

Steven Tyler has revealed that his Aerosmith bandmates Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton will be joining him during his “Jam For Janie” Grammys viewing party. This news comes after the band previously cut their farewell tour short due to Tyler’s vocal injury. The upcoming event will take place at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood, CA on February 2 and it will also feature: Billy Idol, Joan Jett, Linda Perry, Matt Sorum, and Nuno Bettencourt. Tiffany Haddish will host.

The viewing party will be sponsored by Janie’s Fund, “a philanthropic initiative created by Steven Tyler in partnership with Youth Villages to bring hope and healing to girls who have suffered the trauma of abuse and neglect.” Notably, over 100 firefighters have also received invitations through the Widows, Orphans And Disabled Firefighters Fund and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation.

Tyler said the following:

“What the Los Angeles community has endured with these wildfires is unthinkable. Music has healing powers and we hope to bring a moment of joy and levity to our first-responder firefighters and those most affected by the fires. The trauma experienced by the girls we work with is also unthinkable and we will continue to shed light and support the amazing work of Janie’s Fund.”

The event will include a red carpet, cocktail reception, dinner, live auction, and after-party. The money raised will benefit Janie’s Fund and the aforementioned fire organizations.

Furthermore, Aerosmith have also unveiled the other event chairs. They include the following: Ace and Matt Sorum, Alice Cooper, Andrea Bocelli, Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross, Bill Maher, Bo Derek, Chris and Rich Robinson, Dolly Parton, Flavor Flav, Jane Lynch, Kayte and Kelsey Grammer, Lionel Richie, Melissa Joan Hart, Miley Cyrus, Nuno Bettencourt, Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, Sammy Hagar, Scarlett Johansson, and Shep Gordon.
