Withering Scorn (ex-Megadeth, ex-Fates Warning, etc.) have revealed that they are planning to release a new album this year. Drummer Shawn Drover commented:
“Right now I’m working on song eight, the epic song. We don’t have a songtitle for it yet, so we have fake names for these songs. This one’s the epic one, because it’s a long song. I’m working on lyrics. I just started tonight. It’s proving to be a bit of a bitch, but I enjoy the challenge. So I’m excited about that. Joe [DiBiase] is, I believe, finishing up this song for bass. Glen [Drover] is done with the guitars. I’m done with drums. And once Joe is done and I’m done with lyrics, we’ll send it to Henning [Basse]. Again, we’re really excited. These songs are really sounding awesome. We’re super proud of ’em. So we can’t wait for you guys to hear them, hear this record later this year.”
