Obey The Kraken have signed a new deal with Seek And Strike. The band are planning to release a new EP through the label early next year.

In other news, Obey The Kraken have also shared two new songs, “Haunting Echoes Of The Sea” and “Whispers From The Depths.” You can find those below along with a prologue titled “A Cursed World’s Tale” and an interlude titled “The Rise Of The Tashmar.” The group commented:

“We’re incredibly excited about signing with Seek & Strike! We truly feel that Seek & Strike is the right label for us because of its deep understanding and commitment to the death-core scene. Beyond that, we immediately felt a strong personal connection with the team, which made our decision even easier. We’re looking forward to this collaboration and can’t wait to see what we’ll accomplish together.

Our main mission was to create a project that just hits hard. We didn’t let anyone influence our direction and instead put everything on the EP that we personally love. From high-quality visuals to intense breakdowns, wild vocals, aggressive synths and intricate sound design – it’s all there.

The upcoming EP consists of four songs that tell a connected story about the awakening of Cthulhu and, broadly speaking, the destruction of the world. Song one introduces the background and teases the dangers lurking in the depths of the ocean. Song two is Cthulhu’s summoning by an ancient cult. What happens next in songs three and four remains to be seen.
