Brittany Howard (ex-Alabama Shakes) has announced a new hardcore project called Kumite. The band will be performing live for the first time during a benefit show with Snooper, Inner Peace, and Second Spirit at the Basement East in Nashville, TN on January 12. Howard commented:

I am bringing you a night of HARDCORE music featuring the incredible @snooper_7, @innerpeaceforever, & @secondspirithxc as well as the debut performance of my hardcore project KUMITE. All proceeds from the show will go to these wonderful local organizations @2harvestmidtn, @nashvillelaunchpad, & @southernmovementco. Stoked to share how y’all can get involved with one or more of these organizations that are helping our local community. And remember, it’s hardcore as f*ck to community organize!”
