Harley Flanagan (Cro-Mags) has taken to social media to blast those who post footage of entire live sets online. The musician says fans are “essentially bootlegging [the band’s] live shows to get attention for [their selves].”
Flanagan said the following:
“To people who think it’s OK to post a bands entire set… ITS NOT. This is how we make money. And you are essentially bootlegging our live shows to get attention for yourself. NOT COOL”
He also added:
“And let’s get this straight you motherfuckers are not creating content.
You’re filming someone else working and posting it.
You are not creating a fucking thing you’re standing there with a cell phone.
If you actually were creating something I might give you some respect but you’re NOT
It’s one thing to post a song or two and that’s fine
BUT PLEASE REFRAIN FROM POSTING OUR ENTIRE SETS!!!”
