According to AP, Theobald “Theo” Lengyel (ex-Mr. Bungle) has been found guilty of first-degree murder after killing his girlfriend Alice “Alyx” Kamakaokalani Herrman. The jury made the decision following a day of deliberation. Herrmann was murdered on December 4, 2023 inside her home in Capitola, CA. Lengyel was then arrested in January after Herrmann’s remains were found at Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley, CA. The latest piece of evidence was a disturbing phone recording, which contained audio of Herrman begging Lengyel to stop as he strangled her. That file was discovered on September 22 and played in court on October 1. Lengyel is now scheduled to be sentenced in November. He is currently facing the possibility of life in prison.
