KISS’ Gene Simmons Faces Backlash After Making “Sexist” Comments On “Dancing With The Stars”

On October 8, Gene Simmons (KISS) appeared as a guest judge on “Dancing With The Stars.” However, the musician’s appearance on the show has proven to be controversial due to comments that were viewed as “creepy” and “sexist.”

Many of Simmons’ comments were related to appearances:

“This is a brand-new experience for me and it’s difficult to look at you and to figure out which one is more hot, hot, hot.”

He went on to describe pro dancer Witney Carson as “one of the more beautiful women on the planet.” He also made similar comments about actor/singer Chandler Kinney:

“You’ve fogged up my glasses. I don’t know what to tell you. You move me, not just with your gyrations and so on, but your beautiful face and how you were into the emotion of it.”

Despite the backlash, Simmons has since told Daily Mail that he has no regrets. He said the following:

“All media is clickbait. I stand by every word I said. I had a great time. The contestants were great. The show was great. Watch the show. It was a lot of fun. But media? Everybody’s got something to say. Watch the show. It was a lot of fun. Everybody had a great time.”
