AC/DC’s “Back In Black” has officially been certified 27x platinum by the RIAA with 27 million units sold. As such, it is now the third highest selling album of all-time in the U.S. It trails behind The Eagles‘ “Their Greatest Hits (1971–1975),” which is at No. 1 with 38 million units sold, and Michael Jackson‘s “Thriller,“ which is at No. 2 with 34 million sold.
