During a recent livestream on Instagram, Disturbed guitarist Dan Donegan commented on the band’s recent studio time. He said the following:
“[We’re] kind of working on some material. I can’t really say. There’s no timeframe. I know there was a post earlier of us in the studio and that was just us kind of getting the ball rolling. No planned date, so sorry to burst your bubble. I’m not prematurely getting you too excited about it other than we have some downtime, so it was fun to get together and get creative for a moment. Things went amazing, but we’re not planning on any release any time soon. It was just an opportunity to get in a room and get creative again. So [I’m] very, very excited about what we’re coming up with, but there’s not gonna be a release this year, let me be clear on that.”
