Elder To Release “Live At BBC Maida Vale Studios” In August

Elder have announced a new CD/vinyl live release titled “Live At BBC Maida Vale Studios.” The effort will be released on August 30 and it will feature a 2023 session that was recorded at Maida Vale Studios for BBC Radio 1‘s “Rock Show With Daniel P Carter.” That set saw the band performing “Merged In Dreams – Nu Plus Ultra,“ “Lore,” and “Thousand Hands.“ You can stream the latter track below. The band said the following about the release:

“Last year while on tour in Europe, we had the fortune to be invited by the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show (thanks Daniel Carter!) to record a live session at the legendary BBC Maida Vale Studios. We recorded a few tracks from the live set we had been playing at that time and were very happy with the results – a very ‘live’ sounding version of the tracks, which can be sometimes a bit ambitious to pull off live. Most folks missed the radio broadcast, so we figured we’d put it to vinyl and CD as well. The LP version is available in two colors: tricolor green/black marbled vinyl (limited to 1000 pcs and exclusively available at the Stickman Records webstore) and standard solid red. The LP comes with a full-size fold out poster and download code! Thank you to Adam Hill for his beautiful work on the packaging and his futuristic re-imagining of Maida Vale Studios.”
