Squid Pisser have premiered new video for their song “Smog Of Self Abuse.” That track appears on the band’s “Vaporize A Neighbor” EP. That effort was available as a package with a 24-page wraparound comic book sleeve and as part of the “Vaporize A Tadpole” compilation.
Tommy Meehan told Fecking Bahamas the following:
“The song is a warning against cultivating hate, growing bitter and wallowing in the self pity and negativity that sour so many people in this world. It’s about becoming lost in a haze of perpetual confusion and self abuse to the point of epic violence. Suburban teens shooting up schools. Domestic bombing attacks on civilians. The song focuses on the death of innocence and the ingredients that fester in order to give birth to a sinister mind.
The video is about embracing those parts of yourself that society deems unworthy. Beauty can be whatever the fuck you want it to be. Go to the mall. Eat hot dogs. Live inside of a dumpster. If you feel it, you’re glamourous. You’re oozing with your own sex appeal. Don’t let society tell you you’re not good enough. Embrace your own thing, dive in and be you. You own yourself and nobody else does…”
