The Callous Daoboys are the latest artists to protest the unfair merch cuts that venues have been placing on artists. The band have taken to social media to tell fans that they will not be selling merch during tonight’s (January 28) show at Alcatraz in Milan, Italy. Here’s the group’s full statement:
“We are unable to sell merch tonight in Milan due to the venue, Alcatraz, taking a 47% merch cut. We are very sorry, but we would lose money by trying to sell. We will have our merch up online after our tour with Tesseract and Unprocessed concludes. Love you.”
