Verona On Venus, the new project featuring DevilDriver guitarist Mike Spreitzer, have premiered a new song titled “Monarch Acid Test.” This track is from the band’s new album “Popular Delusions,“ which will be released on January 19. Spreitzer commented:
“This song is one of the heavier tracks on the album. My inspiration stemmed from Project Monarch which was an experiment within the infamous MK-Ultra program in the 1960s. I’ve always been fascinated with this part of history. Project Monarch was an experiment within MK-Ultra and had to do with different levels of programming people, brainwashing, and psychological torture. I believe we all live within our own heads and thoughts to a certain level, and the theory of mind control by way of sinister conduct by a person or organization can be taken from the song’s lyrics.”
