Several rock/metal musicians were among the winning candidates during recent elections in the U.S. Among them were Justin Brannan (Most Precious Blood, ex-Indecision), Kevin Phillips (ex-Fight Paris), and Danica Roem (Cab Ride Home). Brannan, who was running as a Democrat, has been re-elected and will be keeping his seat in District 47 on the New York City Council. Phillips, who was working as an attorney, has been elected as the mayor of Port Royal, SC and Roem, who was running as a Democrat, has been elected as Virginia’s first openly trans senator.
