Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Q&A With Sig And The Fire Pilots

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have a Q&A with Sig And The Fire Pilots.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

SIG AND THE FIRE PILOTS: Sig And The Fire Pilots are a rockin three piece hailing from Cannock UK. Pretty much smack bang in the middle of this Sceptre Isle .. They are made up of:

Sig – Guitar/Vox

Dave – Bass/Vox

Duggie – Drums/Vox

They formed just over a year ago and play a blend of they’re own Rocky-Poppy-Bluesy-Funky-Reggae. The band tried to get together 2 years previous but A certain virus put paid to that.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

SIG AND THE FIRE PILOTS: Sig – Early Police Dave – Chilli Peppers Duggie – Soundgarden

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

SIG AND THE FIRE PILOTS: “Click Bait” is their first release. It is an up tempo, fun, catchy little rock song and it reflects the lengths that some will go to get people to view and like their page. Oddly and ironically being self serving.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

SIG AND THE FIRE PILOTS: Old Pyjamas, peas, tomatoes, mutton, beef and trout. We like to play a bit of everything, Rocky-Poppy-Bluesy-Funky Reggae. There are plenty of rockers in the set but we like to play an eclectic mix.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

SIG AND THE FIRE PILOTS: Oh! I don’t know. Be nice to get a couple o big festivals in. Be nice to get to The Topper most of the Popper. Failing any of that. Just keep having fun writing and recording. And playing live when we can.
