Kings Of Thrash, the project featuring bassist/vocalist David Ellefson (ex-Megadeth), guitarist Jeff Young (ex-Megadeth), guitarist/vocalist Chaz Leon, drummer Fred Aching, and occasional guest guitarist Chris Poland (ex-Megadeth), are “working on some live stuff and some studio stuff” that they are planning to release in the future. Ellefson told Metal Rules the following about that:
“Through doing the Nick Menza documentary, I got reconnected with Jeff Young. We were at the Rainbow. He was singing me a riff that he wrote on the ‘So Far, So Good… So What!’ tour in 1988. I went, ‘Dude, I remember that riff.’ And so that led to us… We wrote some songs. We got ’em demoed up. When we did the tour last week, we filmed it at the Whisky, so we’ve got all that. So we’re working on some live stuff and some studio stuff. We got tunes recorded and then the live stuff we captured as well. Like everything, it kind of finds its lane and moves on from there.”
