Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Falling Giant

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Falling Giant.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

FALLING GIANT: We are an Alternative Rock / Metal Band from Rome.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

FALLING GIANT: We are all children of metal. Who comes from more pushed genres, who from the more classic ones, we found our balance in Alternative Metal. Basically it’s the genre that binds us all. Certainly for the guitar lines we are very influenced by Synyster Gates, Tremonti, for the vocal lines I would dare to say characters like Jared Leto, Ville Valo … We also listen to a lot of classical music, jazz, gypsy, blues. We like to range.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

FALLING GIANT: Our last two releases are ‘Kings of Babylon’ which is very much in the style of the band. It has dark, rhythmic, sensual sounds, with heavy and melodic riffs at the same time. Our other latest release with which we closed our first album is ‘Golden Boys’. The latter is very catchy, it is a commercial experiment of the group, and we were very inspired by the world of the 80s.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

FALLING GIANT: Darkness, sensuality, energy. We love the show and performing is our constant point of arrival. We live to play our creations live. We like to involve the public, we like to dance, we love to create atmospheres. Our lives are like hellish parties.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

FALLING GIANT: I am optimistic, because I believe in the band and in the value of my musicians.
I see our band playing headline at the biggest festivals. I am sure that with the new album we are working on we will talk about us. Be ready, because it will really be a mine!
