Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With The Rift

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with The Rift.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

THE RIFT: We were founded in the pits of mount doom to rock. And get weird. Just kidding we have a unique sound that we’ve spent a long time developing and I think that really sets us apart from a lot of the cookie cutter stuff you hear out there.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

THE RIFT: Metallica, System Of A Down, Muse, Lenny Kravitz, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, 311, Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Temple Pilots, Rodrigo y Garbiella, to name a few.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

THE RIFT: “Lost Angeles” is our latest release and folks should check it out if they are fans of Van Halen and Taylor Hawkins. They were big inspirations of ours. It’s a really unique badass song and video.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

THE RIFT: Well typically we tell people to wear a helmet. Heads usually explode otherwise. No, they’ll have a great time. We pride ourselves on our live shows. Also bring protection if you know what I mean things tend to get freak nasty lol.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

THE RIFT: Probably heading towards galactic domination performing for aliens on mars. Owning noobs like Machine Gun Kelly. Just kidding I think everyone already does that.
