Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Surviving September

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Surviving September.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

SURVIVING SEPTEMBER: Our band is a mix of old grunge, and hard rock. Four guys and loud. I think we’re one of the few bands left that employ the guitar solo.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

SURVIVING SEPTEMBER: We have a lot of influences. One of the main influences we have is grunge itself. Outside of that, AFI is a good listen. They are an amazing band. Especially love the “Burials” album.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

SURVIVING SEPTEMBER: Our latest release is “The End.” This song just hits every check mark. You can feel the emotions spilling out in the screams. You should only check it out though if you’re ready for some seriously good music.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

SURVIVING SEPTEMBER: At our live shows, you can expect to hear some great music. A lot of the time, at our shows the energy is up, people are singing along, we have the pits. After, we like to meet the fans, sell merch, hang out and get in the pits. Hell, we’ve even played a song while in the pit.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band in 5 years?

SURVIVING SEPTEMBER: Hopefully we’re headlining festivals around the world. Being able to make music for a living I think is on the radar of each of the guys in the band.
