According to NBC Los Angeles, Sheriff Drumman, a street performer who plays drums in the back of his truck, recently fell on some hard times after his drum set and vehicle were stolen. His truck was eventually recovered, but his drums were not. However, Metallica ended up hearing about the story and decided to surprise Drumman with a new drum kit. He said the following about that:
“Man, thank you guys so much. Thank you for taking the time and the resources to support and help what I do. I love you for that.”
