Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy) Monument To Be Unveiled In His British Hometown

According to The Irish Post, late Thin Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott is set to be honored with a six-foot tall sculpture. The statue was designed by Luke Perry and it will be put up in West Bromwich, where Lynott was born. The unveiling will take place on August 20 and it will be streamed live for fans around the world. Sean Meaney, who led the fundraising campaign for the monument, commented:

“All planning permissions and license agreements are now in place to allow us to go ahead and finally unveil the monument to Phil Lynott after nearly two years delay because of the pandemic. But now it’s all systems go.”
