Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Kade Storm

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Kade Storm.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

KADE STORM: I run a solo project under my own name. It’s been around for a long time but the history is quite uneventful as I never officially released much material, especially anything that I was satisfied with up until recently. The atmosphere is geared towards a very dark and heavy soundscape. I’d say that it’s primarily Black Metal in terms of thematic content and aesthetic, but with some heavy Doom Metal and Death Metal elements.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

KADE STORM: There are numerous influences to name and listing them all is a futile task as I’m sure to miss many crucial names. What can be said is that the scope of influence is primarily centred around Nordic Black and Death Metal paired with other Extreme and Thrash Metal offerings in the UK, Europe and even worldwide.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

KADE STORM: I’ve recently released a digital album titled “Ascension.” It’s a full-length LP comprised of three very long tracks. The sound and atmosphere are primarily Black Metal with a very heavy Doom Metal element and even some Death Metal within the details. Physicals CDs of this album are going to be released soon via Narcoleptica Productions.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

KADE STORM: This project is primarily a studio effort and I haven’t really planned anything for live shows.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

KADE STORM: As a solo project, it is now about realising ideas and visions. There will always be something brewing towards creation at any point in the future, near or distant.
