Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Diseased Earth

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Diseased Earth.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

DISEASED EARTH: We are Diseased Earth, a four-piece sludge band, based out of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. We started back in 2014 with just one goal, to play heavy and uncompromising music.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

DISEASED EARTH: Our influences tend to be all across the board, from sludge to grind to punk to classic rock. We kinda pull a little bit from all of them.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

DISEASED EARTH: We just released a brand new single, “Coven of Leeches” , and it’s easily the best sounding recording we’ve ever gotten. Buddy Harlow did an amazing job on it. It’s a killer track with some heavy groove that I promise you will be humming to yourself later on.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

DISEASED EARTH: Lots of energy from every member and you will feel in full the power of the riff. Our live shows are intense and engaging.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

DISEASED EARTH: Well hopefully the pandemic will be resolved and we will be able to get back to playing shows. That’s where we shine the best, is on the stage with a crowd ready to enjoy some tunes.
