Jake Dreyer has distanced himself from Iced Earth. The guitarist, who no longer has the band listed on his Instagram account, recently spoke to TMZ and said that he was recruited to perform with them from 2016 to 2018 and that he is currently focusing on Witherfall. He went on to say that he enjoyed playing with the group and that “it’s unfortunate how this tragedy unfolded,” referring to guitarist Jon Schaffer’s involvement in the pro-Trump insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. This news comes after vocalist Stu Block and bassist Luke Appleton announced their departure from Iced Earth earlier today (February 15).
