According to Bloomberg, students in Istanbul, Turkey have been blasting Metallica tracks as part of a protest against the new head of Bogazici University Melih Bulu. Bulu is a member of the conservative and populist AK Party and was appointed to his position by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a move many view as undemocratic. The music choice was a dig at Bulu, who previously said he was a Metallica fan.
