Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Geometry Of Chaos

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Fabio La Manna of Geometry Of Chaos

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

FABIO: Geometry of Chaos is the new project from Fabio La Manna, mainly guitarist, bassist and writer of the music, and Davide Cardella, drummer and much more. A new metal progressive sound with a lot influences from classic rock and cinematic music.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

FABIO: From the very start, when I was very young, I was listening to a lot of classic rock and then metal. Then I discovered a lot of subgenres, a lot of other music styles. So, there are many bands and artists that have an influence on me, also on Davide. At the moment, I am more on heavier stuff, maybe because I feel angry about our society.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

FABIO: Our first album is called “Soldiers Of The New World Order” and it has been out since late September. I think the sound of the band is both heavy and melodic, complex, and mysterious. It has anger and passion and it is very groovy, probably more metal than what I’ve done with my solo works before it. The music is really a concept in the album, so the approach I took to write it was very progressive and cinematographic.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

FABIO: We give our best in any situation, this is what I can say for now. We are looking for bigger stages and venues, but we are able to give all of our passion and give the best performance we can, also in smaller stages with few people. Of course the feedback of the crowd could make the difference.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

FABIO: I don’t make any plans for the upcoming future. I just want to see where the album feedback will take us, and then we’ll start to plan live shows and other things. At the moment, I’m totally on the promotion of the album. So, we’ll see.
