Supreme Court Declines To Hear Led Zeppelin “Stairway To Heaven” Copyright Case

As previously reported, Randy “California” Wolfe’s estate recently filed a petition for a writ of certiorari in an effort to get the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn a recent ruling in the copyright case involving Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway To Heaven” and Spirit’s “Taurus.” However, Bloomberg Law Supreme Court reporter Kimberly Robinson has since confirmed that the Supreme Court has declined to hear the case. This news comes after the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco decided to uphold the previous jury verdict that said that “Stairway To Heaven” was not a rip-off of “Taurus.”
