Rush’s Neil Peart Honored With Pavilion In Port Dalhousie

According to The St. Catharines Standard, a pavilion in Port Dalhousie has been named after late Rush drummer Neil Peart. After receiving more than 80% of online votes, the St. Catharines city council unanimously voted to name the venue Neil Peart Pavilion at Lakeside Park yesterday (June 3). Port Dalhousie Coun. Bruce Williamson commented:

“The public voting on naming is obviously fairly conclusive. Neil Peart’s been one of our most famous local individuals and a lot of his songs have local roots, including the namesake park.”
