Moshing And Crowd Surfing To Be Banned When Concerts Initially Return

The COVID-19 pandemic has had an enormous impact on live entertainment and when concerts finally return they are going to look a lot different. Event Safety Alliance have released a new guide, called “The Event Safety Alliance Reopening Guide,” which details the reopening of the concert industry and it will require social distancing, masks, temperature checks, and more. An excerpt from the guide also added:

“A few obvious changes will be necessary whenever GA [general admission] events do reopen. Patrons cannot all stand at the front of the stage like they are accustomed; moshing and crowd surfing are violations of social distancing per se and must be absolutely prohibited during this pandemic; even hallways and smoking areas where patrons congregate will have to be monitored to enforce health policies.”
