Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Mossie.
METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
MOSSIE: So we are Mossie. We’re from the North of England – Leeds. We are an Indie Rock Band that formed in 2019 and have been writing music since. The last 6 months has been pretty crazy for us, we played 2 sell out shows and have been recording music with one of the worlds top producers. We’re a group of local guys with a love of similar music and we just wanna rock n roll to be honest! Check out our Social Media Pages!
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
MOSSIE: We take influence from a range of different artists across the generations, good music is timeless. We are big fans of The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Oasis, Stone Roses and Arctic Monkeys… Whether you can hear any of that in our music I guess we will let you decide.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
MOSSIE: Our last tune went out as a demo track as we are still in the process of writing out debut EP. We have a song due for release this summer called ‘Outta Time’ watch out for that, and our EP. You can get our music on all streaming platforms online.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
MOSSIE: We definitely love to share the energy. With a rock vibe running through our music and cool bass riffs we definitely will get your foot tapping. You should come check us out for yourselves! We want everyone to have a good time at our shows and enjoy the music. Without you guys there enjoying yourselves music would become obsolete. I personally love to get out to live music, nothing much compares to a live band! We certainly want to entertain too.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?
MOSSIE: We have big plans, 5 years is a long time so who knows. We’ve had interest from a record label already and I think maybe we will go down that road too, but not yet. We want to focus on writing our music at the minute. We aim to get some CD’s and copies of our music sent out and about soon, so keep in touch with our website and our Social Media! Cheers! Peace!
