Indiana Pub Changes Name At Iron Maiden’s Request

According to Courier & Press, the Maidens Brewery & Pub in Evansville, Indiana has undergone a name change due to a request from Iron Maiden. The bar will now be known as Damsel Brew Pub. According to owner John Mills, “there was no lawsuit [and] no bad feelings on either side.” Mills went on to say the original name was chosen due to the brewery’s craft beers, which are named after women:

“A lot of people know about craft beers but don’t drink them. I was trying to help give people something to identify with. So that association with their mom or sister or a woman in their life might make them give it a try.”
