Ex-Weedeater Drummer Michael Kirkum Arrested For Putting Meth In His Wife’s Drink

According to WECT News 6, ex-Weedeater drummer Michael Kirkum has been arrested for allegedly putting meth in his wife’s rum. The 47-year-old is facing charges of secret assault, assault on a female, resisting arrest, and two counts of misdemeanor child abuse.

Kirkum‘s wife, who recently hired a divorce lawyer, told police that her drink had an odd bitter taste and that she began worrying after having insomnia for a day and a half. She ultimately went to the hospital, where she tested positive for methamphetamine.

Authorities were sent to a residence in North Carolina, where Kirkum allegedly answered the door with a gun. He then tried to escape before getting caught. The police will be testing the rum for drugs and if it is positive, Kirkum may face further charges. His bond is currently set at $100,000.
