Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Vanilla Sugar.
METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your music:
VANILLA SUGAR: Vanilla Sugar is made of Alternative / Electronic music, a pop vocal sensibility, with a Metal influence.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
VANILLA SUGAR: I find a lot of inspiration in Sleigh Bells, Grimes, Korn, The Prodigy, and Mindless Self Indulgence.
METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
VANILLA SUGAR: My new single will be released in a few months! I am traveling to Houston, TX to shoot the music video in a week. This new song is totally different from anything I’ve released before. I’m very happy with it and excited to share it with everyone.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
VANILLA SUGAR: People can expect an extremely high energy performance, with a light show to match. I am the kind of person who believes in putting on a full show for people; lights, music, stage props, the whole thing.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your project heading in 5 years?
VANILLA SUGAR: Ideally, I see Vanilla Sugar continuing to tour globally, and releasing a few more albums by that time.
