Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Testarossa

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to up and coming bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Jordan West of Testarossa.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

WEST: Testarossa cuts like a knife right through everything else that calls itself rock-n-roll or heavy metal. Testarossa is for anyone who wants to party. Sexy, guitar driven songs, rolling bass and thunderous drums, topped off with pipe tobacco tinged vocals. We have only one purpose, that’s to make music that you can drink, fight or make love to.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

WEST: Anything that kicks ass. To name a few, Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe, Guns N’ Roses, Van Halen. Bands that made rock the way it should be.

METAL ANARCHY: What can you say about your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

WEST: Our first and latest release is titled “Mother Lover” featuring Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria. Song starts with a kickass riff (yes, we write guitar riffs) and a 13 second scream that would make Sebastian Bach nervous. The song is actually based off my real life relationship. Colten, the singer came up with a couple of light hearted, clever lines and the song just kind of finished itself. Although there is a sense of humor about it, we are in no way a parody band lol. Definitely something that any lover of real rock music will fall in love with. Especially if you are tired of the same bland song coming out from the same bands for the last 20 years. It’s available on all major platforms. Go check it out!

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

WEST: They can expect to have their senses blown from start to finish. There will be guitar solos that actually take talent to play. Colten will probably end up in the crowd. Blake plays proper bass lines, if it ain’t rolling, it’s walking. Buddy keeps the party going with his danceable grooves. Our shows are full of relentless stage energy and fun vibes. If you don’t want to have a good time, get out. We can guarantee that you won’t see a better show. Don’t miss out!!

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band in 5 years?

WEST: 5 years from now, we plan on taking over the rock scene and bringing it back in the spotlight. It’s been lacking the party atmosphere, I think we have that and I think people all want to have a good time. Hopefully, we will be bringing smiles to faces and making heads bang all over the world in 5 years.
