Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Mission G.
METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:
MISSION G: It’s a loooooong story filled with a lot of ups and downs. In a nut shell we are a melodic metal three piece from Phoenix AZ. We try to have a more “accessible” style of metal that fans of all genres of music can hopefully enjoy.
METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?
MISSION G: Ritchie Valens, Poison The Well, Otis Redding, Architects, Finch, Deftones, At The Gates, and sooo many more. How much time do we have?
METAL ANARCHY: What can you say about your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?
MISSION G: The Shadow Of Greed. This album is a culmination of 20 years of hard work. Each song represents a story/journey/struggle that we have dealt with and our hope is that our fans can relate on a personal level.
METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?
MISSION G: A mix between a Bon Jovi / Meatloaf concert. Just kidding. 3 guys playing music they believe in with all their hearts. Something you wouldnt expect by looking at the three of us setting up.
METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band in 5 years?
MISSION G: Anywhere our fans let our music take us. Inspiring others to believe in themselves through any situation and to see the beauty in life we as humans tend to lose as we grow older. Being great fathers.
