Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With CAMU

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to up and coming artists that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with CAMU.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

CAMU: The band is brand spanking new and called CAMU, named after me, we also have a 15 year long history as NAKED haha. After NAKED split 8 years ago I haven’t released any new music until now. I got all the old NAKED guys playing on my new stuff. The first single is titled “Empire State Of Sound” and it’s the first track of a trilogy of songs that tells the insane story of the last 8 years of my life. Worth checking out.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

CAMU: KISS, The Beatles, Tom Petty, Hanoi Rocks, and on and on. Mostly 70’s music.

METAL ANARCHY: What can you say about your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

CAMU: Because “Empire State of Sound” is the song I decided to release after an 8 year long indefinite hiatus. I didn’t have to, but I felt I wanted to release it. You will be able hear what I’m all about and if you dig it, there is more coming down the pipeline.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

CAMU: There will be a lot of people acting like they used to before we all had phones with cameras haha. It’s a guaranteed good time rock n roll show.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

CAMU: In 5 years? We will either not be on speaking terms or we will be making a lot of music and playing a lot of shows, I’m excited that I don’t have a clue.
