Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With The Darkest Hearts

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to up and coming bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with The Darkest Hearts.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

THE DARKEST HEARTS: The band started as a studio project with Kramedj and Luke. After putting out their first single “Disappear” they added Daniel to the mix and the three have been thick as thieves since then. Surprisingly, the same musician friend, Brad Blakely, brought the three of us together. It has been a wild ride getting to the level that we are at now and it has not been easy with life throwing some of its best distractions and hardships our way but we are still here standing tall and doing what we love.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

THE DARKEST HEARTS: It differs for each of the members but just to name a few Dimebag, Tremonti, Randy Roads, Prince, Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd, Metallica, etc.

METAL ANARCHY: What can you say about your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

THE DARKEST HEARTS: Our latest release is Mississippi Devil and it is a slap in the face. It shows people how the blues can be put back into hard rock like it used to be. The song has caught a lot of attention and the video of our live show at the historic Exit/In in Nashville Last December has been seen almost 20k times.

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

THE DARKEST HEARTS: Our live shows are full of energy and just normal guys having fun. We like to get the crowd involved as much as we can because we are only there for them.

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

THE DARKEST HEARTS: There is no telling where we will be in five years, but we are all hoping that it all looks a lot like we are all doing this for a living.
