During an interview with Planet Rock, Michael Poulsen offered an update on the new Volbeat album. He said the following:
“We are [in the middle of the] writing process. We have a lot of songs — I’ve written a lot of songs, Rob [Caggiano, guitarist and co-producer] has written a couple of songs — and we keep on writing. And when we’re done touring this year — that will be late July — then we go home to Denmark and we take Rob with us. And then we all get together and finish up all the ideas and the songs that we are working on. And the whole plan is to enter the studio late November, and there’s a gonna be a VOLBEAT record out next year. So it’s gonna be great to kind of lock ourselves into the rehearsal room and finish up the work. We’re already working on stuff at soundchecks. It’s gonna be great.”
