Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Meka Nism

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to up and coming bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with guitarist Bobby Keller of Meka Nism.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

KELLER: Our band is Meka Nism, and we are from Orlando, Florida. We just released our new single, “The War Inside”, off of our new EP and have a music video out for it. We are a little different breed of metal band, but we think we have something very special here.

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

KELLER: It’s always hard to answer this question, because we pull from so many different ones. I know for me personally, bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Pantera are my biggest influences. They all move me in certain ways and when I look to write any guitar parts, I like to use these bands as inspiration.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

KELLER: Our latest release is our single, “The War Inside”, off of our new ep The War Inside, which we expect to release sometime in May 2018. The response to the single so far has been huge, and if you haven’t checked it out, then you’re missing out! No, seriously though, the new music is heavier, groovier, faster, and better than anything we’ve done to this point. So if you’re looking for something heavy to move to, check it out!!

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

KELLER: We are a live band, period. People can expect an ongoing onslaught the whole time, and a lot of energy. Some fans have left our shows completely mesmerized and feeling as though they’ve had an “experience”. So come see it for yourself!

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

KELLER: On top of the world…
