Metal Anarchy’s New Music Showcase: Exclusive Q&A With Insolvency

Time for the next edition of Metal Anarchy’s “new music showcase,” the feature where I introduce you to up and coming bands that readers of this site may find interesting. This time I have an exclusive Q&A with Insolvency.

METAL ANARCHY: Tell me a little about your band:

INSOLVENCY: Insolvency is a “Heavy Metalcore” band from France founded in 2012, and based in a small town 1h30 close to Paris. This current lineup has been set since 2014. The band started with several local shows mainly in France before recording an EP in 2015 and then this album, which was recorded in the UK with Jim Pinder and Carl Bown, who’ve produced Bullet For My Valentine, While She Sleeps, Trivium and more. We got a lot of influences from heavy metal to deathcore or melo death. We’re very open minded. We’re all passionate and very ambitious!

METAL ANARCHY: Who are your main influences?

INSOLVENCY: Our main influences include various bands and styles: Bullet For My Valentine, Trivium, While She Sleeps, Children Of Bodom… We do love a lot of bands and a lot of metal styles.

METAL ANARCHY: What is your latest release and why should readers of this site check it out?

Our latest release is our album “Antagonism Of The Soul” and the music video “Death Wish.” If you like powerful drums, melodic guitar solos, screaming, with heavy death/metalcore influence you should enjoy it!

METAL ANARCHY: What can people expect when they go to your live shows?

INSOLVENCY: People can expect to do wall of deaths and circle pits on certain songs! But they also do find a friendly band who love their fans and take time to talk with them! We love when people enjoy our music and go crazy with us during the shows and have a drink with us afterwards!

METAL ANARCHY: Where do you see your band heading in 5 years?

INSOLVENCY: Only god knows that! But if we could dream about it, obviously we would think about being able to tour with our favorite bands mentioned above!
