The new Joan Jett documentary “Bad Reputation,” which was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last month, has been acquired by Magnolia, and will receive a theatrical release later this year. The film was directed by Kevin Kerslake and offers “a look at the life of Joan Jett, from her early years as the founder of The Runaways and first meeting collaborator Kenny Laguna in 1980 to her enduring presence in pop culture as a rock ‘n’ roll pioneer.”
