Late Metallica bassist Cliff Burton will officially be honored with “Cliff Burton Day” on February 10 in his hometown of Castro Valley, California. This news comes after fans previously launched a Change.org petition for the day, which led to a Municipal Advisory Council vote that passed 7-0, forwarding the proposal to the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. That board met today (February 6) and decided to establish the holiday.
